KlearCard is a Singapore-based fintech startup founded in 2019 to transform the way that businesses across APAC and the Middle East handle payments. The idea came from local Founders' collective frustrations with company expenses, reimbursement processes, and being left out of pocket as an employee.

KlearCard had a task to find the team that was able to deliver the first version of their product in a tough schedule. They had managed to create a prototype but they knew that in order to take the product to the next level, the startup needed an experienced self-organizing team that could handle the full product development cycle, as well as gather data, analyze, research external API and develop the software iteratively.

KlearCard is a corporate spend control platform. The app consists of a responsive web dashboard for the company's management and a mobile app for employees (just similar to your mobile banking app).

The app should have allowed users to create virtual company cards to manage spendings for specific categories, teams, or projects. Virtual cards provide company staff with the ability to pay and track all their expenses related to a project or client via one card they all had access to; set spend limits and select what kind of purchases are allowed.

To start with, the engineering team conducted deep and thorough research on documentation of KlearCard's key partner, the MasterCard API provider. We had to be sure that the required features could be implemented using the suggested API.

After finishing the initial research, our design team along with the business analysts team started working on the user flow, UX & UI design, and preparing technical specifications for the project.

Being a financial service, the KlearCard platform was subject to a tough and complex compliance procedure, that included external vulnerability and penetration testing (VAPT). Our team secured the platform using best-practice approaches and techniques. As a result our client successfully passed all the compliance tests.
